MY RECIPE BOOK.

i finally finished a little fun project i have been working on all week. i made my own recipe book.
i decided to collect my favorite recipes and consolidate them into a cookbook that i would really use...not like those cookbooks that i buy that have one or two or three good recipes in them, but a cookbook where i would use ALL the recipes often.

i purchased a nice binder with clear pockets and pages. this is the best format for a functional recipe book.
(you can gather recipes and place them in the clear pockets or stick them on the pages.)

i placed tabs at the beginning of each new section. this will give me easy access to different types of recipes. i decorated each tab by hand.
(you can use decorations that have to do with the recipe, such as pictures of food, or elements that remind you of the person who wrote it.)

i gathered all of my recipes and organized them by type of cuisine.

and now i have your very own personalized recipe book. hmm...this would be a great christmas gift idea!

RAINY DAY #2.

cheer yourself up on a rainy day with:

anise-mint tea

anise is an herb. the seed (fruit) and oil, and less frequently the root and leaf, are used to make medicine.
anise is used for upset stomach, intestinal gas, “runny nose,” and as an expectorant to increase productive cough, as a diuretic to increase urine flow, and as an appetite stimulant.

mint is well known for its properties related to indigestion, stomach cramps, flatulence and upset stomach.
